ARTIST'S STATEMENT

My approach to colour as an intrinsic expression in my work is heavily influenced by Van Gogh's treatment of hue, value, and intensity. I strive to create a mood that breathes life into my subjects. From J.M.W. Turner, I have learned the importance of a soft touch and the balance between light and shadow, aiming to engage the viewer with the overall effect of the painting.

Through experimentation with graphite and coloured pencils, I have discovered flowers, insects, and birds as exquisite themes that challenge my ability to find the right balance between colour and line. I seek to render both precision and delight, honoring the beauty of each species. These various techniques reflect a cyclical learning process, inspiring others to believe in their dreams.

My hope is to remain attuned to my creative voice as I explore what lies beyond the ordinary. In quiet moments of introspection, I discover new impulses to express myself through colours, shapes, and lines.

"Her paintings of harmonious colours are full of lyricism that express her inner life, they are testimonies of her pictorial capacity and a deep need to fulfill herself through Art."
